"Another Op'nin, Another Show." The CAMP Rehoboth Chorus presents "100 Years of Broadway," a celebration of Broadway's 100th anniversary, Sept. 25 - 27, 2026. As its final concert of the 2026 season, the Chorus will perform beloved classics from South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, The Lion King, Rent, and plenty more. The 2026–2027 Chesapeake Music season opens features ArcoStrum, the trailblazing duo of violinist Strauss Shi and guitarist TY Zhang. Praised as “a first-rate ensemble among the new generation of performing artists,” ArcoStrum captivates audiences with a groundbreaking program that blends everything from classical masterpieces, to Chinese traditional music, to prog rock, to popular music. TY performs on both acoustic and electric guitars, while Strauss performs on violin and traditional Chinese instruments, including the erhu and Chinese flute. The result is a distinctive cultural perspective and innovative musical voice that is truly one of a kind!

Audience Prize recipients of the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, ArcoStrum has brought their remarkable artistry and charismatic stage presence to sold-out audiences around the world. The duo has performed in renowned venues and festivals, and has been featured in The Violin Channel, The Strad, and Chamber Music America Magazine, earning recognition for their artistry, creativity, and boundary-crossing approach to performance. TY and Strauss believe in the power of music to spark imagination. Every note they play reflects hours of collaboration, a deep respect for tradition, and a mutual drive to reinvent and leave their mark.

Take your own vehicle onto The Monster Mile during Dover Motor Speedway's Laps for Charity on September 27, 2026. Participants can drive laps around the legendary one-mile concrete oval behind the official Ford Mustang pace car, with VIP experiences and additional track activities available. Open to passenger vehicles only, this family-friendly event benefits Speedway Children's Charities, with 100% of proceeds supporting children in need throughout the region.

Ever since the American War for Independence, women created quilts with patriotic colors and motifs. Early quilt blocks such as Lincoln’s Platform, Whig’s Defeat, Tippecanoe, Log Cabin, and War Between the States, show that women were interested in and influenced by national events, such as politics, westward expansion, and war, even when their lives were mostly confined to the home. Quilts have always been an expression of art and a time capsule in American history. Poplar Hill Mansion continues this rich tradition as we celebrate the Semiquincentennial with the America250 Quilt Show in 2026. This non-juried show will allow quilters from the region to submit their interpretations of American patriotism and the American spirit.

This show will consist of five categories each with a unique theme of Americanism: Three Cheers for the Red, White, & Blue, America the Beautiful, I’ve Been Everywhere, Home of the Brave, and Ballad of Americans. Each of the five categories will have a (1) winner and there will also be a Best in Show. The same person may win multiple categories with different entries. In conjunction with the Quilt Show, Poplar Hill Mansion will also be raffling a quilt this year. The quilt is entitled Home of the Brave and was made by one of our Board members. Tickets will be available for purchase all year and at all events, and the quilt will be given away in December. Tickets are $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00.
