Highway Woes from Flooding in Worcester County

Don Rush

There are still detours and closures in Worcester County  in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.

WBOC reports that the rain damaged Big Mill Road in Stockton and Langmaid Road in Newark.

There were downed trees and wires that blocked traffic at the south end of Big Mill Road.

The flood waters and downed trees wiped out part of the highway south of Stockton.

Meanwhile, WBOC reports that repair crews were out on Langmaid Road repairing the shoulder.

In addition, Whiton Crossing Road in Berlin also saw downed trees because of the flooding.
