The Museum of Ocean City invites bird enthusiasts, nature lovers, and curious beginners alike to take part in Bird Watching with Scott Housten on Saturday, September 20 at 8:00 a.m.
The event begins at the Museum of Ocean City, where participants will be introduced to Scott Housten and learn about the diverse bird species that thrive in the Ocean City area. Guests will then embark on a guided birdwatching walk through some of the town’s best viewing spots, including the inlet, the jetty, and Sunset Park.
Along the way, birdwatchers may spot a variety of species such as songbirds, warblers, sparrows, terns, gulls, and other shorebirds.This family-friendly program is designed for all ages and will last approximately 90 minutes. The walk will take place rain or shine, and participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and wear comfortable walking shoes.
The cost is $20 per person. Space is limited, and early registration is recommended.

The St. Michaels Farmers Market (SMFM) is an independent, non-profit, producer-only farmers market, located in the waterfront town of St. Michaels on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
On Saturday mornings from April through November, we seek to support local farmers, foster community, and provide access to fresh food in Talbot County.

Join WSW at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore on Saturday, September 20th for the Young Survivor Conference!
This conference will serve as a morning of education, support, and connection for breast cancer Survivors around the age of 40 and younger.
We will have three guest speakers covering topics such as oncology, mental health, and fertility. Stay tuned in to WSW’s social media pages to find out who our guest speakers are!
Doors open at 8:30 am, allowing attendees’ time to visit vendors and enjoy a complimentary breakfast, and guest speakers will begin at 9:30 a.m.
This conference is free to attend, but space is very limited(only 30 seats).

Step up to raise awareness of kidney disease, organ donation and the importance of early screening and healthy lifestyle for those at risk. Join the National Kidney Foundation for this inspiring community fundraiser.
Participants can enjoy a scenic 3-mile patient-friendly route accessible for pets, strollers and wheelchairs. The event will also feature entertainment from DJ Manny Mann, a performance by the Cape Henlopen Marching Band, refreshments, interactive vendor booths and the Kidney Kid’s Corner with face painting and games.
Funds raised through Kidney Walk will directly support NKF’s local patient services, education and research efforts. Participation is free, but donations are encouraged. Everyone who raises a minimum of $100 will receive a commemorative Walk t-shirt. Additional recognition gifts will be awarded for meeting various fundraising levels.
Kidney Walk is the nation's largest fundraiser to fight kidney disease. Held in more than 50 communities, thousands of walkers join NKF annually to raise over $10 million to help kidney patients and their families each year. More than 84 cents of every dollar raised directly supports NKF programs and services.
