DE Turf Hotel Tax Put on Hold in Kent County

DE Turf Sports Complex Website

A discussion of the DE Turf hotel Tax has been put off by the Kent County Levy Court.

The decision by the county governing body was made upon request by state Senator Trey Paradee.

He said he was going to introduce legislation that would keep the DE Turf sports complex from being the sole recipient of the funds generated by the hotel tax.

The tax became embroiled in controversy when the governor’s office refused to say if his sister was involved in the legal evaluation of the tax.

Paradee’s brother also sits on the board for the DE Turf sports complex.
