Greensboro Police Chief Hopes for New Beginning

Family photo

Greensboro Police Chief Eric Lee says he hopes his department has started a new beginning after the decertification and dismissal of Officer Thomas Webster who was involved in the death of Anton Black.

Webster who was hired by the department in February of last year was decertified after failing to disclose the “use of force” reports from when he was with the Dover Police Department.

Lee told WBOC that he want his officers to be visible and heavily engaged with the community.

The chief did not hire Webster and the town is not planning on replacing him.
