Officials say a Salisbury man tried to explode a bomb in Washington County.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that court records show he lived in the apartment complex where the device was discovered.

The investigation led to charging 51 year-old Michael Thorn with the possession of an explosive device.

The paper reports that the court documents show he moved to Salisbury just before his arrest in early January when authorities raided his home on Hammond Street.

He is being held without bail with a hearing set for January 31st.
