In the race for mayor in the Virginia town of Onley Matt Hart edged out a victory against Billy Ferguson.
The vote was 110 for Hart, 109 for Ferguson.
WBOC reports that the two were friends going into the race and say they will remain friends afterward.
The two are planning to brainstorm ideas about bringing in new business to the town but Hart says he also wants to preserve the history of Onley.
Hart is no stranger to a single vote victory. He won by a one vote margin when he ascended to the Town Council in 2014.
