NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say an employee at a 7-Eleven store in Newark has been shot and killed during an early morning robbery.
Police say two men wearing masks, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the store on Four Seasons Parkway about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money from the employee. Authorities say the worker gave the men cash. As the men were leaving the store, police say one man fired at the worker, striking him in the upper body.
Police say the men fled in an unknown direction.
The employee, 48-year-old Mohammed Rafique Ullah of Newark, was pronounced dead at the scene.
