Fifty years ago, The Chorus of Dorchester began performing in celebration of our nation’s 200th anniversary. Still going strong, the Chorus will celebrate America’s semiquincentennial (say that three times fast!) with a summer concert that will feature many of the best-loved patriotic songs and spirituals that have dazzled audiences over five decades..
No auditions are required, but the ability to read music is helpful to be part of this group that has provided over 300 free concerts since its beginning. For more information or to join, please email Cookie Brohawn at cookiebrohawn@comcast.net or call her at 410-463-1778. You may also contact the membership chair, Dr. Betty Malkus, at bettymalkus@gmail.com or 410-463-3306.
