As part of the 12th Biennial Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition, Chesapeake Music is pleased to present The Brompton Quartet: A Community Concert at 5:00pm on Sunday, April 12th at Christ Church, St. Michael's Parish. Our generous sponsors Talbot Arts and The Van Strum Foundation enabled this special, free, Community Concert Series.
The Brompton Quartet is one of five Competition Finalists in town for the weekend, competing for a slate of fantastic prizes on Saturday, April 11th in Easton. The Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition finalists emerge out of an international pool of applicants, establishing themselves as future stars of their generation.
The Brompton Quartet is an American-Canadian string quartet founded in August 2025 at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and they work together under the guidance of Professors Norman Fischer, Valnetin Radutiu, and James Dunham. Members are Søren Lorentzen (viola), Evan Nicholson (cello), Anne-Marie Wnek (violin), and Madeleine Zarry (violin).
Chesapeake Music looks forward to welcoming you to Christ Church, St. Michael’s Parish for this community concert. No tickets or reservations are needed! The concert will be between 60-75 minutes in length with no intermission. Please take a look at our website for additional information.
