Punkin Chunkin Returns to Sussex County

Punkin Chunkin Website

Punkin Chunkin is returning to Sussex County.

After some questions about where the event would be held organizers say it will be held on the same farm it has used in past years.

The dates are November 4th though November 6th.

In 2013 the owner of the property decided against allowing his place to be used because of a lawsuit by an ATV driver who was seriously injured in an accident.

There had been plans to hold the event at the Dover International Speedway over the last two years but they fell apart.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the World Championship Punkin Chunkin President Frank Payton said an insurance plan has been secured that would protect the owner of the property.
