Delaware Basketball Teams Help Needy After Game Brawl

creative commons

The basketball players from the Cape Henlopen and Sussex Tech teams helped pack and distribute soup to families at the Faith United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Rehoboth Beach on Saturday.

They volunteered after a brawl at a game on Thursday night.

WBOC reports that the school superintendents of the two districts issued a statement saying that they have been working together to address the incident at the varsity basketball game.

They added that the incident does not reflect the shared values of either school districts and that they take these matters seriously.
