Water Service Shutoff in Crisfield Set for Wednesday Night

Don Rush

The city of Crisfield will be shutting off water service for several hours tomorrow night starting at 10 p.m. to complete repairs on the water main line on Richardson Avenue.

City Manager Rick Pollitt told WBOC that he expects the water will be turned back on before dawn on Thursday.

When the water is turned back on city officials say residents will need to boil water for human consumption for around a day.

Last week the water main broke at the intersection of Richardson and Chesapeake avenues at which time there was an advisory for residents to boil their water while repairs were underway.
