The Saint Edmond Church in Rehoboth Beach is searching for a new location for its nativity scene.
It had been putting up the display near the bandstand but was ordered to take it down because if was on public property.
The church has turned down an offer by the city to put it up outside the chamber of commerce.
Mayor Paul Kuhns told WBOC that this was probably the most prominent places it would could be located.
Father Cocco with the church said he would like to see the nativity scene in front of Grotto’s Pizza like it was last year.
But permission has yet to be received.
