Famed Cabin Disappears Off Chincoteague Coast

Captain Dan's Around the Island Tours Facebook

It’s gone now.

A small cabin that has been photographed may times disappeared from the south end of Chincoteague.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that it has not been inhabited for many years and has been surrounded by water for the past seven years due to erosion.

The National Weather Service reports that there were gusts of wind of up to 42 mph on Halloween night just off the coast of Eastern Virginia.

When Saturday dawned the Facebook page by Captain Dan’s Around the Island Tours posted that there was no sight of the structure other than some debris
