Plans by a developer to install a sewer line down Main Street in Chincoteague has been withdrawn.

It would have provided service to the Inlet View camp ground.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that there was no explanation given for the decision.

The paper notes that in mid-September the council had voted to table the request until October 7th.

It followed a lengthy discussion by the council after input from 22 people during the public comment period.

The paper reports that attorney John Custis has said that delay would threaten the project but could not be reached for comment.
