Two great white sharks were caught off the Ocean City.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that a group of fishermen posted on Facebook that they encountered the sharks about mile off the coast.

They said that sharks appeared to be 9-to-10 feet long and weight up to 500 pounds.

The paper said that the fishermen could not be reached for comment.

Scientists say that it is not unusual to see sharks this close to the Delmarva Peninsula with many coming to the region for the warm waters.

OCEARCH which tracks these fish say they have tracked four within the past week and a half near the Delmarva coast.
