Great White Shark Off Ocean City

OCEARCH

A great white shark named Brunswick showed up off the Delmarva coastline on Friday.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that its appearance occurred around 4:30 p.m. near Ocean City.

It was sub-adult, 8 feet 9 inches long weighing around 431 pounds.

It was tagged by the group OCEARCH off Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The organization says the shark traveled nearly 13-hundred miles since it was tagged in February.

He is named after the City of Brunswick.

The great white is one of several seen off the regional coasts this year.
