PRMC Absorbs McCready Hospital

Peninsula Regional Health Systems will be absorbing McCready Hospital with regulatory approval expected by this fall.

The System’s Peninsula Regional Medical Center has been ranked number 11 in the nation and the acquisition comes a year and a half after it was approached by McCready Hospital.

The Salisbury Daily Timesreports that the hospital will continue to provide services until the deal get final approval.

The paper reports that land has been acquired along Route 413 for a McCready Health Pavilion near Crisfield.

It will be freestanding medical center under the executive leadership of Peninsula Regional.

Services will range from 24/7 emergency care and physical therapy to family medicine and lab work.
