Power Outages & Tornado Warnings on Delmarva

Thousands of residents lost power in Delaware after the strong winds that ripped across the peninsula last night.

The Wilmington News Journal reports Delmarva Power’s outage map showed there were more than 2-thousand customers that lost power in the Laurel area with another thousand in Harrington.

The paper reports that another 700 between Red Lion and Delaware City were hit along with 300 the Middletown area.

Tornado watches and warnings were also issued by the National Weather Service on parts of Delmarva.

In South Salisbury damage was reported from what is believed to have been from a tornado.

Meanwhile, around 3:45 a.m. there were warnings in Dover, Camden and Federica.
