SU Campus Looks at Further Annexation by Salisbury

Salisbury University website

Annexing more of the Salisbury University campus into the city of Salisbury is now under consideration.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that a memo from the city’s infrastructure and development director Amanda Pollack said that the university and the Greystar development group are proposing a mixed-use project.

It would be located between Pine Bluff road and Kay Avenue near the Court Plaza.

SU spokesman Jason Rhodes said that it would include properties owned by the university and its foundation which are set to be redeveloped into a project that would include a residential and retail complex.

Mayor Jake Day says that the city would bring in additional revenue along with as many as 300 to 400 jobs.
