A suspicious package found Monday morning on the door step of the Newark Planned Parenthood offices turned out to be paperwork left for an employee.

Discovery of the package caused a portion of East Delaware Avenue to be shut down and apartments evacuated as authorities carried out their investigation.

Ruth Lytle-Barnaby, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Delaware, told the Wilmington News Journal that the package appeared to be torn and beaten up.

Newark officers searched the area for around three hours before reopening the street.
