freeclipartnow

38 grenades were found in Hurlock on Monday.

That’s according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

They were discovered by a citizen collecting recyclables on Bobtown Road.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that nine were active.

Another 19 had a fuse but no explosive filler while 10 were inert.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal Bomb Squad was called in to examine the bombs.

Six were taken to a nearby county landfill where they destroyed by a second explosion.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has also been called in to investigate the incident.
