Statue Planned for Historic Educator at DSU

Delaware State University has commissioned the statue of Dr. Jerome Holland for the front mall of the campus.

Holland led then Delaware State College avoiding its closure of the historically black institution during the 1950’s.

WBOC reports that the community is being invited to participate with the purchase of bricks with their name on them that will surround the foundation of the statue.

The brick will range from $100 to $15-hundred and will to help cover the costs.
