Milton Residents Experience Power Outage

Don Rush

A power outage hit Milton residents last night when a tractor trailer struck a utility pole.

The outage caused many to get up in the dark for school and work this morning.

WBOC reports that Delaware State Police say that a 39 year old man was driving a truck with an Allen’s Family Foods Trailer northbound on Harbeson Road.

When he got to Carpenter Road the driver missed the curve in the road and overcorrected before slamming into the pole and overturning.

Delmarva Power pushed back the time for restoring power to 8 a.m.

Around 21-hundred people were affected.
