MILTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are searching for three suspects who they say broke into a 73-year-old man's home and beat him with handguns.

State police said in a news release Monday that they responded to the victim's home in Milton, Delaware, late Sunday night. The victim told police three men broke into his home, found him asleep in his bedroom and demanded money from him. News outlets report the victim said the suspects then beat him and struck him with their guns.

Investigators say the men stole cash and a computer and ransacked the house before getting away.

The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
