Delaware State Fair Expands, George Thorgood Debuts

The 97th annual Delaware State Fair will expand to 11 days with George Thorgood making he debut this year.

Country singer Jake Owen will also be headlining the kickoff on July 20th for 98-hundred people the day before the fair officially begins.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that there won’t be any admission charge at the gate for Owen who performed at the Big Barrel Country Music Festival last year.

Delaware native Thorgood will make his appearance on July 29th with a mix of blues and classic rock.

The News Journal reports that last year the fair saw 311-thousand people attend which was an increase of 10 percent over the previous year.
