If you like ice hockey it could be coming to Worcester County.
County Commissioners voted 5-to-1 for a grant from the Maryland Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the money would pay for the first phase of a study for a sports complex that would include a 62-hundred seat arena.
The paper reports that the funds in conjunction with other contributors would make the study possible.
The resolution now goes to the Maryland Department of Commerce and the Maryland Stadium Authority where local officials expect to get approval for study.
Worcester County is expected to provide $15-thousand while the Stadium Authority is to provide $30-thousand.
