White Horse Park Residents Must Leave Homes

White Horse Park website

It’s time to leave their homes in White Horse Park.

That’s what residents are being told by the Worcester County Commissioners as an October 1st deadline approaches.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that attorney Hugh Cropper who represents two of the residents says there are up to 60 people who live in the park which is located on the outskirts of Ocean Pines.

These he said included older residents who do with fixed incomes.

The paper reports that the county zoning code says prohibits people from living in the park subdivision full time from September 30th through April 1st.

Cropper says that the residents were told 18 months ago that they could not live there permanently and tried to get an amendment to allow them to stay.

That was rejected.

He notes that many residents did not realize they were violating the county code.
