BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a 35-year-old man was found shot to death in the kitchen of a Sussex County home he was visiting.

Police said in a news release that a woman called troopers to the home on Conrail Road in Bridgeville early Thursday with a report of people breaking into the house and shots fired. When troopers arrived, police say they found 35-year-old James Dickerson of Bridgeville in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics arrived a short time later and police say they pronounced the man dead.

Police say the woman and three other men in the home were not injured and the suspects fled the home after the shooting.

Police say they are not releasing further details to avoid jeopardizing the investigation.
