BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a man found lying on a roadside suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police received a call shortly before 8:30 p. m. Friday about a shooting on Mill Park Drive in Bridgeville.

Troopers found 41-year-old Corey Bailey of Bridgeville on the side of the road. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Authorities say investigators were able to identify 28-year-old Mcarthur M. Risper Jr. of Bridgeville as a suspect in Bailey's death. Risper is the subject of warrants for murder, conspiracy and possession of a firearm during a felony.

At the time of his death, Bailey was wanted for failing to re-register as a sex offender. He pleaded guilty in 2008 to fourth-degree rape of a 16-year-old girl.
