A dispute has arisen between Congressman Andy Harris and the Easton facility for Planned Parenthood.
The Eastern Shore Republican claimed that the facility was denying women’s health care by keeping its doors open only two days a week.
But the Salisbury Daily Times reports that the group says that at one time the facility operated part-time.
However, currently it said the site is now open five days a week.
The dispute arose when Harris charged that federal dollars were pay for an empty clinic that does not delivery comprehensive care.
The Daily Times reports the group says up until last spring the facility was open Mondays and Thursdays with the Salisbury site was open on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Fridays.
The disagreement comes as Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill are trying to end federal funding of Planned Parenthood over the use of fetal tissue from abortions for scientific research.
