100 Pickets at Planned Parenthood in Easton

Pickets showed up at the Easton Planned Parent office in the wake of efforts to defund the organization.

There were nearly 100 who were in front of the facility Saturday afternoon after a number of undercover videos were released involving the use of fetal tissue from abortions.

Congressman Andy Harris joined the protest.

The Eastern Shore Republican told WBOC that he opposes funding the organization because it is receiving money for providing the tissues.

Planned Parenthood has said that it is only compensated for the actual costs of providing the tissues and says it is not selling such tissue which would be against the law.

Harris believes a measure to defund Planned Parenthood will get through the House but questions whether it will secure the 60 votes needed to get out of the Senate.
