Three Arrested in Salisbury Shooting

Salisbury Police Department website

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - Salisbury police say three men have been charged with the fatal shooting of a teenager in a hotel parking lot.

Seventeen-year-old Rakim Russell of Fruitland, Maryland, was shot early Sunday as he left a party at Americas Best Value Inn. He died at a local hospital.

Officers say the three suspects were involved in a fight at the party, fired into a group of people, striking Russell once.

Authorities say 18-year-old Jarrett Stokes of Delmar, Maryland, and 18-year-old Ky'Shir Connally of Delmar, Delaware, were arrested Tuesday in Wicomico County in Maryland. Twenty-year-old Larry Ennis of Salisbury, Maryland, was arrested Wednesday in Dover, Delaware.

All three have been charged with first- and second-degree murder in Russell's slaying.
