EASTON, Md. (AP) - State police say they've arrested a man who fired at troopers after fleeing from a traffic stop on the Eastern Shore.

Police say 28-year-old Brooks Perry of Milford, Del., was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. He was found in a marshy area along Glebe Creek Road in Easton, about 5 miles from where police say he fired the shots.

Police say a trooper pulled over a vehicle Wednesday night, and while the trooper awaited backup, Perry drove off. He later got out of his car, and as troopers pursued him, police say Perry fired at them. No one was shot.

Perry faces numerous charges including two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Dozens of officers participated in the search for Perry, and police say witnesses helped narrow down the search area.
