No reduction in the $1.5 million bail for former Tower Hill headmaster Christopher Wheeler as he faces 25 counts of child pornography.
A New Castle County Court of Common Pleas judge denied the motion by his attorney Thomas Foley who argued that it was excessive and equal to bail set for murder defendants.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that Foley said while the search warrant mentioned three men who have accused Wheeler of molesting them when they were boys no charges were ever filed and that his client has no criminal record.
But, Deputy Attorney General Abigail Layton argued that Wheeler is both a danger to the community and a flight risk.
