Expect Traffic Delays on Delaware 1 For Bridge Repair

Traffic delays should be expected due to a lane closure on northbound Delaware Route 1 at Tybouts Corner in the morning and afternoon as maintenance crews carry out some bridge work.

This will include crack sealing of the bridge decks, hot-mix repairs and riprap replacement to deal with erosion.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that this should continue until November 1st.

The Delaware Department of Transportation says the right lane is shutdown where the highway curves to cross over U.S. 13 just south of Hamburg Road.

Both northbound U.S. 13 lanes will remain open at the split but the northbound shoulder is closed beneath the Delaware Route 1 overpass.
