Selbyville Woman Dies From Bridgeville Car Accident

Delaware State Police Badge

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a Selbyville woman has died after a three-vehicle crash west of Bridgeville.

Police announced Wednesday that say 71-year-old Carole Hoffman died Tuesday at Christiana Hospital from injuries sustained in the crash Sunday evening.

Four others were injured in the crash on Seashore Highway when police say Hoffman's eastbound car drifted into westbound lanes. Her car hit the side of a van, then struck an SUV head-on, causing it to spin out, then overturn in the road. A woman in the van and the three people in the SUV, including a 14-year-old boy, were taken to area hospitals.
