Delmarva Today 7-22-22 (Part 2) The Isaiah Fountain Case

Book Cover

Host Hal Wilson talks with author Joseph Koper about his new book "The Isaiah Fountain Case" an account of the arrest, trial, and execution of Isaiah Fountain, an African American man in 1919 who was accused of raping a White girl in Talbot County. In the introduction to the book, Koper quotes the Eastern Star Democrat saying at the time “The Fountain case is one of the most noted in the State’s annals.” Koper not only gives us the reported events surrounding this case but the why of their often misleading and dubious reporting.

The book will be out in September.
