Election: A Muslim Community Divided

publicity photo

With the November election just around the corner, for immigrant communities issues back in their homelands may be fracturing their political allegiances. Muqtedar Khan is a political science professor and director of Islamic Studies Program at the University of Delaware. He tells Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush that while much of the American Muslim population is going blue, there are others that are voting red.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
