Facebook Petition for Reconsideration of County Executive Decision

The selection of Dr. Rene Desmarais to become the next Wicomico County Executive has drawn a sharp backlash. Groups led by the Greater Salisbury Committee held a gathering on Monday morning in front of the the Government Office Building to express their displeasure at how the County Council conducted itself in making the decision. One speaker was Blair Carey, a local businssman, who has offered up a petition on Facebook seeking reconsideration of the decision. Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talked with him about his petition and his outspoken support for Republican Delegate Carl Anderton.
