Three Salisbury police officer have been placed on paid administrative leave along with a prosecutor with the Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s office.
Salisbury Police Chief Barbara Duncan told reporters that it involved a recently discovered 2011 memo that indicated that the officers failed to disclose evidence in a criminal case.
WBOC reports that Duncan said her department has begun a full investigation into the officers.
She said that the department believes all of this resulted in a criminal conviction.
Duncan added that she has contacted the U.S. Attorney for a federal review.
Meanwhile, the Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes said the potential exculpatory evidence that the officers may have been untruthful has been sent to the defendants in the case.
