BALTIMORE (AP) — The president of Baltimore's school police union says a student found with a loaded handgun at a high school has been arrested.
Sgt. Clyde Boatwright is president of the Fraternal Order of Police Baltimore School Police Lodge 5.
He says two unarmed school police officers arrested the student Monday after a struggle in a hallway at Patterson High School.
Boatwright did not release the name of the minor but told the Baltimore Sun the student is enrolled in Baltimore City Public Schools.
The newspaper reported the student was arrested for possession of a loaded handgun on school grounds.
