Bay Bridge Rehab Project Completed by Summer

baybridge.tv

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Gov. Larry Hogan says work on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge will be complete by this summer.

Hogan announced Tuesday that a rehabilitation project on the westbound right lane will be finished a year ahead of schedule. He also says all-electronic tolling will be used.

The governor says all lanes of the bridge will be open by summer of 2020.

The governor's office says the deck rehabilitation project began in September of 2019, after more than a decade of deferred maintenance resulted in severe deterioration of the westbound right lane.
