A state audit has found a number of inappropriate purchases, misuse of fleet vehicles and misuse of bid authority during an investigation of the Capital School District.

It found violations of the union contract involving overtime among other issues.

Delaware state auditor Kathleen McGuiness said the probe began after receiving a number of hotline complaints.

WBOC reports the violations reached back to July of 2018 and ran through March of last year.
