Rocket Lab will have a launch site at the Wallops Flight Facility.
The small satellite company unveiled the Launch Complex 2 that was constructed by the firm’s teams and Virginia Space.
The U.S. Air Force will be the first customer that will launch a microsatellite as part of its Space Test Program.
WBOC reports that this should take place in the spring of next year.
The site is expected to be capable of handling 12 launches a year.
Meanwhile, Virginia Space is expected to start building a new Integration and Control Facility to support the Rocket Lab operation.
