The Sussex Montessori Public Charter School has received a loan in construction funds from the USDA.
Students from kindergarten through third grade will not be able to enroll tuition free.
Board member Linda Zankowsky told WBOC that it was not only important for children to develop academically but also to learn the importance of leaderhip skills.
Renovations for the new school include 4 new classrooms.
The deadline for applications is January 8th.
The school will accept 260 students.
If there are more applicants than that they will be chosen by lottery.
