Maryland Looks at Ending "Questionable" Practices by Homebuilder

NVA

Maryland state and federal officials are leaning on the county’s fourth-largest homebuilder to end mandatory arbitration and nondisclosure agreements in the repair of construction defects.

The NVR based in Reston, Virginia has also built homes in Ocean City.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that Governor Larry Hogan and state lawmakers want the state Attorney General’s office to investigate the company’s three brands.

The paper found that the state attorney general’s office has found 53 complaints about NVR and its three brands over the last three years.

The company declined to comment the story for the Daily Times saying that it does not issue press statements.
