Mediation is taking place in Sussex County between neighbors and Mountaire Farms.
Many have said they believe that the poultry company is responsible for the increase in the nitrate that has been found in their wells.
The Wilmington News Journalreports that the one expert believes mediation could mean settlements are in the works.
There is a court-approved gag order on the residents their lawyers and Mountaire’s legal representation among others in the case.
