Heat Wave Hits Delmarva, Cooling Stations Open

It’s expected to be a hot day on Delmarva.

WBOC reports that there is an excessive heat watch for Inland Sussex County both Kent counties and Queen Anne’s County.

Meanwhile, there is a heat advisory for the counties of Accomack, Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Somerset and Wicomico.

Cooling Stations

Cooling stations are now open on Delmarva as a result of the heat wave.

In Wicomico County, the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center is open as well as the MAC Senior Center for those over 50.

In Worcester County the Snow Hill Senior Center will be open for adults over 55.

Somerset County the Princess Anne and Crisfield libraries are open as well as the MAC Center.

In Sussex County the County Administration building is open as well as the South Coastal Library and the Milton library.

In Kent County, Delaware the Kent County Library is open as well as the libraries in Smyrna and Harrington.
